LG Electronics Australia (LG) today announced its entry into the Australian consumer PC market with the introduction of two new Hybrid PC products; the Z160 and H160 Tab-Book™, and the Z360 Ultrabook.

With consumers increasingly searching for innovative ways to view and consume content while on the go, LG’s Hybrid PC devices offer stylish, lightweight alternatives that can be used in either tablet or notebook form.

“LG is currently a market leader across several product categories, and we are looking to use that reputation for quality and innovation to position ourselves as strong players in the highly competitive PC market,” said Lambro Skropidis, Marketing General Manager for LG Australia.

“With more people digesting content on the go, we wanted to introduce LG’s Tab-Book™ devices to offer an added level of convenience that consumers are increasingly demanding – portability, and a tablet and notebook in one,” he added.

LG Tab-Book™
The LG Tab-Book™ range features an assortment of technologies to provide a great portable computing experience for customers. Differentiating the range from other Hybrids on the market, the slim and light LG Tab-Book™ features a precise 5-point multi-touch screen that pops up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard for instant typing action.

It’s ‘one touch’ auto sliding design, created by LG’s highly dedicated and creative team, enables users to quickly and smoothly switch between tablet and notebook configurations with the simple touch of a button – making it ideal for those who like the portability of a tablet without sacrificing the option of a keyboard.

The Tab-Book™ range features LG’s highly-regarded IPS (In Plane Switching) display, which delivers a premium picture with true to life colour expression and great picture clarity. The 11.6 inch screen also has a wide 178-degree viewing angle to further enhance the user experience.

With a remarkably light weight of just 1.05kg (H160), users will find the LG Tab-Book™ easy to carry around. The range also comes with USB and HDMI ports for connectivity ease, and uses the Windows 8 Operating System. Users can select either an Intel® Core™ i5 (Z160) or Atom™ (H160) processor.

LG Ultrabook

Winning a prestigious 2013 Red Dot design award, the Z360 Ultrabook has a visually stunning white finish and a slender form that belies a powerful set of advanced features contained within. Extremely thin at just 13.6mm and weighing only 1.15kg, the stylish Z360 is ideal for consumers seeking greater portability.

LG’s Z360 incorporates a stunning 13.3-inch Full HD screen and a third generation Intel® Core™ processor, providing crisp, clear images and raw computing power. Further enhancing picture quality, the LG Ultrabook has also been fitted with an IPS Display, allowing for a wide 178-degree viewing angle. Among other features, the Z360 Ultrabook includes a SATA 3 solid state drive (SSD), as well as WiDi, which allows users to mirror content in Full HD.
