Appointment of Sarah Palmer affirms Digistor’s commitment to classroom and “bespoke” training for content creators.

Sydney, Australia - Digital media integration specialist, Digistor Pty Ltd, has appointed Sarah Palmer as Manager of the Digistor Training Centre.

The Digistor Training Centre provides an extensive list of classroom-style training at the company’s state-of-the-art facilities in Sydney and in other states, plus training at customers’ own premises customised to specific needs.

With over sixteen years digital media business experience, Sarah is ideally qualified to grow and develop Digistor’s Training Centre course and service offerings. Sarah previously worked for Adimex as Operations Manager and left the industry in 2006 to pursue creative pursuits. Sarah’s experience includes introducing the CINEMA 4D product range to the Australian market through Adimex and working on the Australian launch of many digital media products. She has owned or managed a number of businesses in retail and distribution.

“It’s exciting to be appointed to this position,” stated Sarah. “Digistor has a unique set of products and a wealth of talented trainers at their disposal. I’m looking forward to growing this aspect of the business while matching skilled trainers with our customers needs and requirements.”

Courses and customised training is now offered for Adobe products; MAXON CINEMA 4D; Autodesk Smoke,  3ds Max, Maya and Mudbox; Avid Media Composer and ProTools, Nuke, Apple Final Cut and more.

The Digistor Training Centre offers a number of unique advantages to customers including

  • Small Class Sizes for Optimum Instruction. Max. 6 students with dedicated, high-end workstations providing plenty of personal attention from instructors. Attendees train with peers rather than students and hobbyists. Classes can move at a faster pace for more learning.
  • Industry-Experienced Instructors. Digistor’s instructors are experienced in editing and post-production pipelines and real-world use of the tools they teach. This is not vanilla-learning from a text book. Students receive the benefit of practical guidance from specialists who understand deadlines and workflow and are committed to staying up-to-date with developments and passing this information onto customers.
  • Flexible “Bespoke” Content. Digistor can provide one-on-one and small group training either at our Training Centre or customer’s own premises. Customers speak to the trainer prior the course and plan the content. If you need to learn a new tool-set integrated into your workflow, then this style of training is ideal.
  • Sales and Integration Advice and Pricing. Digistor sells the tools that are taught. Attendees gain the benefit of access to Digistor’s skilled solutions sales force and the company’s special offers and events. Digistor can also include training services as part of a software and/or equipment quote, minimising costs.

“We are offering on-site, customised training for anything from optimising workflow procedures and pipelines for workgroups through to training in products such as Smoke and CINEMA 4D,” added Sarah. “We can offer training in multiple tools working together like CINEMA 4D and After Effects. When a customer calls me, I can arrange with our trainers bespoke training that addresses the customer’s exact needs.”

Digistor’s newly refurbished Training Centre located in Artarmon will be the venue for in-house Sydney training courses with seminars and a selection of courses to be held in other states on demand.

“We are in a unique position for a training organisation. We not only understand our customers requirements, but we have a direct line to all the major suppliers through our reseller agreements. That means that we are ideally placed to ensure that our customers receive the best possible advice and direction when selecting training,” said Ms Palmer.

Managing Director Andrew Mooney commented, “We are looking forward to offering an extended range of training options to our customers. We are well placed to grow this side of the business with the appointment of Ms Palmer.”
