The MakeAWish 30 Day Community Health Challenge 2013 kicks off with a media launch in Adelaide next week, encouraging people to get up, work out and lose weight while also raising money for a great cause.

Just as the new Global Burden of Disease Study came out stating that “Worldwide, obesity has increased by 82% in the last two decades” and went on to explain that “Obesity is a bigger health crisis than hunger, and the leading cause of disabilities around the world”, The MakeAWish 30 Day Community Health Challenge 2013 kicks off, encouraging people to get up, work out and lose weight while also raising money for a great cause.

The MakeAWish 30day Community Health Challenge 2013 requires people to sign up, join in on this two month challenge and get people to sponsor you depending on your weight loss and/or health goals. That’s it, it’s that simple.

After seeing the success of a similar campaign in Queensland that was run by Drift Brookwater golf resort and Suzanne Skillen. Jaynie Morris, Director of the MakeAWish 30 day Community Health Challenge decided that she could do it bigger and better here in Adelaide whilst also raising money for MakeAWish. Jaynie wishes to raise $50,000 for the MakeAWish foundation and with every contestant receiving a book of vouchers valuing over $1,000 that includes products and services to help them on their path, who wouldn’t think that this is achievable.

Jaynie Morris “It just made sense to partner with MakeAWish as the 30 Day Community Health Challenge is all about making people’s health, wellbeing and vitality dreams come true”

Jaynie Morris, author, radio personality and dedicated health and wellbeing specialist said when she heard about the Queensland 30 day challenge, she decided that Adelaide was the perfect market as “We want to change lives” and “We expect to reach all South Australians to educate, inspire and motivate healthy lifestyle changes to help combat the obesity and health issues in our state. OH and beating Queensland would be the icing on the cake”

Make A Wish and the team from the MakeAWish 30 Community Health Challenge have been working tirelessly to pull together this inspirational way to change not only your life but the life of a child. With the support of their key sponsors, Jetset Travel Glynde, Precision Homes, Intercontinental Hotel, Step into Life Fitness, PowerFM, Saka Water, Now Generation, Zumba with Nat and Dee, just to name a few, the team are more than achieving their goals they are surpassing them.
