SeaLink Travel Group has continued its investment into the Chinese travel market with the introduction of a luxury Mercedes Benz Sprinter touring vehicle and a review of itineraries for its Mandarin guided tours to the Barossa Valley and Kangaroo Island.

The Kangaroo Island Highlights Tour will take visitors through the Fleurieu Peninsula before boarding the SeaLink ferry to Kangaroo Island where visitors will spend a full day taking in some of the key sights of this popular island destination, including Seal Bay, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Flinders Chase National Park and Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. The full-day tour price is $248 per person, including a 2-course lunch.

The Barossa & Hahndorf Wine Experience Tour includes a guided tour, tastings and morning tea at the famous Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, tastings at Saltram Wine Estate, views of the Barossa from Mengler’s Hill Lookout, optional lunch at the SA Company Store in Angaston followed by the beautiful Adelaide Hills for optional wine tastings at RockBare Cellar Door or free time to shop in Hahndorf. The tour price is just $99 per person.

The Kangaroo Island Tour will depart twice a week on a Thursday and Sunday, with the Barossa & Hahndorf Tour departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“SeaLink is dedicated to showcasing the best of South Australia to the world, and our Mandarin language guided tours make this State more attractive and accessible to visitors from Mandarin speaking countries,” SeaLink South Australia’s General Manager, Ms Donna Gauci says.

“China is most valuable to Australia’s inbound tourism market and SeaLink’s ongoing development of specific tourism products will ensure South Australia is a destination of choice for Mandarin speaking visitors.”

SeaLink’s premium 4WD tour operation KI Odysseys also operates Chinese, Spanish and Japanese guided language tours on top of the tours it already offers with Italian, German and French speaking guides.

The review of day tours follows the stronger presence SeaLink now has in the Greater China and Asia markets, following its purchase of Captain Cook Cruises who operate on Sydney Harbor as well as on the Murray River with the PS Murray Princess.

Both SeaLink and Captain Cook Cruises have increased their direct marketing efforts in China and have a very active international business development, sales and marketing team based in Adelaide and Sydney.
