Looking to bridge the gap between high school and getting into the performing arts industry?

The Actors’ Hub is offering a one-year, part-time course designed to prepare students when auditioning for performing arts courses across the country, such as the National Institute of Dramatic Art and the WA Academy of Performing Arts.

Known as The Gap, it is one of the most comprehensive and intensive acting programs in Perth crafted for actors on a part-time basis with tuition from highly trained actors, directors and master teachers.

“It allows students to refine their skills while waiting for the next annual intake for nationally-recognised performing arts courses,” The Actors’ Hub director Amanda Crewes said.

Entry is by audition and interview only and all applicants must be over 17 – auditions start the week beginning December 10.

The Actors' Hub

"It has long been recognised that without a permanent company few actors can thrive indefinitely. The art of acting is in some ways the most exacting art of all, and without constant schooling, the actor will stop halfway." (Peter Brook)

In response to this understanding, we have established The Actors’ Hub, a new centre for excellence in performing arts.

The Actors' Hub provides ongoing support for actors to develop their skills whether they are currently working within the industry or working their way into the industry.

It is our aim at The Actors’ Hub to keep our work relevant and in response to current industry trends, demands and opportunities.
