Congratulations to Donna-Marie Griffiths, Workforce Participation Manager from Baulderstone SA, who received the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) South Australia Crystal Vision Award at a recent ceremony.

Baulderstone Workforce Participation Manager Donna-Marie Griffiths has received the Crystal Vision Award from National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) South Australia.

The Crystal Vision Award is the highest honour to be handed out by NAWIC each year, and celebrates those who recognise the role women play in the construction industry, and help promote and encourage other women to succeed in the industry.

Baulderstone General Manager Michael Harper explained that Donna-Marie’s strong background in policy, industry development and training provides her with a solid foundation from which to deliver Baulderstone’s tailored workforce participation strategy in South Australia.

“Donna-Marie makes a huge contribution to promoting the role of women in construction in a number of important ways; from advocating flexible working arrangements for women with family responsibilities and establishing impactful mentoring programmes, to supporting women returning to the workforce.”

Donna-Marie works part-time and, with two young children under five, is grateful for the opportunity to balance spending time with her children and a rewarding career with Baulderstone.

“It’s incredibly important to recognise women in construction so we can attract more to the profession and create sites which are highly productive, family-focused and enjoyable to work on,” said Donna-Marie.

“I also think women in construction have a unique, very valuable, perspective to problem-solving and balance a team which can lead to better results for both the client and Baulderstone,” she added.
