Looking for a fun alternative this schoolies week that also gives something back?

Are you interested in taking part in an adventure of a lifetime, where you can celebrate finishing school, while having an amazing experience AND helping a fantastic cause?

‘Schoolies’ week traditionally is a celebration of the achievements of year 12 school leavers from every corner of Australia, after a long year of hard work. For many of you, your social lives have been reduced to endless study, homework and exams. It’s easy to see why you are looking forward to taking a much-needed break and celebrating with your school friends before your lives go their separate ways.

Unfortunately, ‘Schoolies’ week can often become a week of recklessness and overindulgence. Is a glorified party worth putting you in vulnerable and dangerous situations that you may one day regret?

Many students are now looking for fun but more meaningful and rewarding experiences for schoolies celebrations: adventures in exciting and exotic destinations where you can give something back to the environment or those less fortunate, where you can challenge yourself and grow as a person, but also where you will have a fun and exciting holiday and make new friends.

This is why we are offering you this fantastic opportunity - an adventure of a lifetime!

Journeys for a Cause have put together a worthwhile and rewarding option that offers a safe and fun alternative to the traditional schoolies week.

In this fully inclusive 7-day trip to tropical North Queensland, a group of students will embark on an exhilarating adventure combining both the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree UNESCO World Heritage Rainforest.

The Great Barrier Reef is the biggest coral reef system on the planet and the world’s largest living structure. With this ‘hands on’ approach, you will have the opportunity to snorkel and be introduced to the incredible underwater universe with a Marine Biologist, while assisting Eye On The Reef, a not-for-profit organisation. You will also have the opportunity to complete your PADI Open Water SCUBA Diving Certificate.

As well as exploring the Great Barrier Reef, you will venture into the amazing Daintree World Heritage Rainforest. This part of the adventure will take you on an exhilarating ‘Jungle Surf’ zip line through the rainforest canopy and on a thrilling white water rafting experience on the Tully River. You will also help regenerate the beautiful tropical rainforest, and take part in various night time adventures, including spotting nocturnal wildlife in the forest alongside naturalists.

This fully inclusive 7-day trip includes return flights from Brisbane to Cairns, accommodation, all meals, activities and guides.

So, what are you waiting for? With ‘Schoolies Week’ just a few months away, consider this option to help celebrate finishing school with a purpose; discovering exciting new places with an itinerary packed with personal achievement, cultural and environmental awareness, in a fun and safe environment.

There are a few limited spaces still available on this exciting adventure, so book now before you miss out!
