New Zealand opera lovers are invited to Norfolk Island, the jewel of the South Pacific, as Norfolk is once again hosting the spine tingling Opera in Paradise 17-21 February 2013.

Performers are the Queensland-based Opera company “Operatif”, together with other select artists from Australia and New Zealand. Heading the bill is a fine line-up of operatic voices – Soprano Jennifer Parish, Baritone Stewart Cameron, Tenor Benjamin Makisi, Mezzo Soprano Hayley Sugars along with concert pianists Max Olding and Pamela Page and accompanist John Woods. Violinist Spiros Rantos and Pianist Brachi Tilles were such a hit last year, they will be back again to provide the icing on the cake.

Concerts full of best-loved opera mixed with the cultural and historical charm of this small isle creates a unique memorable week for visitors. Norfolk Island is the perfect setting and comes alive with mesmerising Operatic sounds.

Opera in Paradise is all about thrilling opera and music performed on a remote South Pacific island that offers a stunning natural backdrop and the opportunity to mix culture and history with a relaxing South Seas break. “We urge music and history lovers alike to come and sample the magic that has made this such an enduring and convivial annual event”, said Operatif’s Jennifer Parish.
