Horses get into all sorts of trouble, they fall down holes, get stuck over fences, are involved in road accidents or just end up in places they should not be.

Horse SA & the Victorian Horse Council are partnering to present Dr Rebecca Gimenez (USA) for two informative evenings in the field of Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue. The sessions will feature a section on horse truck & trailer road accidents.

“Emergency services, zoo and local government officers are all encouraged to attend” said Julie Fiedler, Executive Officer for Horse SA. “Large animal rescue techniques are relatively new to Australia, even experienced horse owners are amazed at what they find out”.

The evening sessions are scheduled for the 13th & 14th of November at Melton & Pakenham, Victoria.

Dr Gimenez is in Melbourne for Equitana and will be giving demonstrations using a life size mannequin horse especially made for teaching rescue techniques.

Session times, ticket purchases & further information can be found on www.horse.org.au
