A new app has been created by Sydney-sider Matthew McBride for both iPhones and all android phones for the London 2012 Olympics: VoiceIt

The idea is to video record messages using the VoiceIt app to support the Aussie team and favourite Olympians.

The recorded video on their phone can be immediately posted to Voiceit’s dedicated Olympic fan page on Facebook.

"I love the Olympics and wanted an interactive way for supporters like me to send video messages of encouragement. After going live a couple of days ago, the app has already been downloaded more than 200 times," says McBride.

"I figured that by having Aussies post video messages on VoiceIt’s Facebook page, it would inspire our athletes and provide some entertainment to everyone."

VoiceIt is a simple point, shoot and enjoy video message application intended for Facebook users who want to communicate to specific friend’s walls or by private Facebook message.

It's also perfect for sending video messages using Facebook to your friends & family on special events like birthdays; on holidays or for fun.

The app is free to download during the Olympics.
