Cricket Australia and global digital agency Reactive, announced today that the KFC T20 Big Bash League Web site (www.bigbash.com.au) has been named the Sitecore Site of the Year in Australia as well as the Australian Sitecore People’s Choice Winner.

Sitecore’s Site of the Year awards recognise organisations that leverage Sitecore’s technology to develop an outstanding Web presence and deliver engaging digital experiences that increase marketing performance.

In addition to the two awards for Cricket Australia, Reactive was awarded with two further category wins for clients Chisholm Institute and the Australian National Maritime Museum. The Sitecore Site of the Year winners were selected based on each company’s use of Sitecore’s Web CMS and Digital Marketing System to deliver more effective business processes. The Sitecore judges considered creativity, integration, overall user experience and the ability to educate, inform and motivate.

“This year, Reactive has won four category wins and we are very proud of this honour,” said Tim O’Neill, Co-Founder and Joint Managing Director, Reactive. “This fantastic result speaks to the quality of work our clients and Reactive are able to produce using the Sitecore platform.”

For Cricket Australia, Reactive was able to utilise Sitecore’s multi-site functionality to bring all of the Big Bash Leagues’ Web & mobile assets onto a single platform. The result is eight visually distinctive BBL team Web sites that are all part of one back-end platform.

“We selected Reactive as our digital partner for the Big Bash League due to its experience in delivering complex websites for a range of major brands,” said Mandi McPherson, Manager of Direct & Digital Marketing, Cricket Australia. “By utilising Reactive’s expertise with Sitecore, the KFC T20 Big Bash League is created on a platform that is scalable with a focus on usability and supports the rich, dynamic personalisation that we had in mind for the site.”

“Working with Sitecore, Reactive and Cricket Australia have created a best-in-class example of a highly successful online platform that engages visitors and accomplishes Cricket Australia’s key conversion goals,” said Phillip Heltewig, Managing Director, Sitecore Australia and New Zealand. “We were thoroughly impressed by how Reactive and Cricket Australia were able to extend Sitecore’s capabilities and I am proud to recognise and congratulate them.”
