ADELAIDE 2012: Once again the DeadRed Wine Group will be unearthing a new experience under the guise of unearthing great old wine.

The next event for our group is to be held at Cos Restaurant, located in a 1800s built, heritage listed, and former Anglican Church office, situated in historic leafy Leigh Street.

The DeadReds WineGroup has been unearthing old wine and unique wine experiences since 2007. DeadReds was initially created by the Founder, Charlie-Helen Robinson as “Bring out your dead reds” on Facebook in 2007 and then launched as a networking social group in April 2008.

Charlie says “There are now over 1000 members worldwide, and we believe we have found a winning event formula. Yet we are not content to sit back and rest on our wine corks. In true tradition… the group will celebrate a journey through time, exploring wine from different regions, times and grape varieties. These short and quick events are open to all”

Serafino Wines as sponsors will be offering wine tastings of four of their wines on arrival to guest including the Serafino Shiraz, GSM, BDX and Chardonnay. They are true McLaren Vale stock with great South Australian wines.

Our members wine selections, brought by them on the night, will unearth wine from the 50?s through to the 90?s… as for judging, these bottles must be at least ten years old.

And, on this night there will be more than wine to judge. We will be launching a new social media networking style game with all guests in attendance. It will be an engaging, fun way to enrich our event experience.

Charlie says, “Time and time again we have unearthed a whole raft of things – from people, places, and life, to wine, food and love. The connections that have surfaced from each of these experiences is amazing. And we welcome everyone. From all walks of life. The group we have gathered or who become attracted to our events come from a diverse, exciting, unique, professional, interesting, educated, and sometimes crazy range of backgrounds. It’s what makes us unique – in so many different ways.”

Unearthing [Wine] Experiences

The concept for the DeadRed WineGroup, now known under the brand as Unearthing [Wine] Experiences, started on the eve of a dinner party hosted by Charlie Helen Robinson, which boasted a Penfolds Grange. The challenge had been set to find a wine that could match such a pedigree.
