Ethnic Electric, The Latest Collection From Australian Jewellery Designer Sophie Kyron, Is Ablaze With Colour.

Inspired by her recent collaboration with fashion designer Camilla Franks that went down a storm at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, Sophie Kyron introduces her Summer 2013 jewellery collection, Ethnic Electric.

From Morocco to Africa, Australia and the Far East, cultures collide in this dazzling array of custom-made pieces. As diverse as it is colourful, the collection spans tribal necklaces, intricately detailed cuffs and earrings adorned with jewels.

Necklaces were layered over kaftans and bracelets stacked up high when the models hit the runway at Camilla’s Gypset show, in keeping with the gypsy-meets-jet setter theme.

The vivid combinations of bold accessories against bright prints provide plenty of inspiration for summer.

But whether you pick just one statement piece or take your cue from Australian fashion’s hottest collaborators and pile on the jewellery, these original, ethnic-inspired pieces are something you’ll want to wear, and keep, forever.

Sophie Kyron’s Ethnic Electric collection will be available to buy online at, in her Perth studio and in Camilla stores from August 2012.
