Snowgum has launched a dedicated online store for Scouts ( offering an easy, convenient and secure way for Scout leaders and parents to purchase Scouts gear.

Previously, scout uniforms and related merchandise were available through, however due to popular demand, a dedicated site has been developed to service the needs of Scouts.

The Scouts Shop offers bulk ordering and customer order tracking facilities, to address the needs of busy Scout leaders and parents, who frequently need to make group orders. The site also acknowledges the increasing media savvy of Scout members by integrating social media tools including Twitter and Facebook to forge a stronger connection with its customer base, and opening up new channels for communication.

“Snowgum has been supplying Scouts with uniforms, badges, publications and outdoor equipment for decades. For the past 18 months we have successfully offered that service online, through, however given the unique needs of Scouts leaders and parents, it made sense to create a dedicated site to provide a more tailored offering,” says Ross Elliott, Managing Director of Snowgum Australia.

The Scouts Shop is a joint venture between Snowgum and Melbourne-based digital agency August, which previously built the AIMIA nominated August is renowned for building websites as attractive as they are functional and easy-to-use, and in the past 12 months have picked up a slew of awards and nominations, including two AIMIA nominations, won ‘Best in Class’ at the Interactive Media Awards in the US, and more recently was shortlisted for the 2009 B&T Digital Services Company of the Year award.
