Norfolk Island will host visiting New Zealand and Australian Rotarians next April for their aptly named Rotarians with Conviction conference 21-25 April 2013.
The Rotary Club of Norfolk Island and Rotary District Governor 9910 Lindsay Ford invite fellow Rotarians to Norfolk Island for what will be an extraordinary conference. A week of socialising and networking highlights include: High tea at Government House, Island welcome dinner, car rally, Rotary goes Main Street, Conference gala dinner and Anzac service with sunrise breakfast.
In fact Norfolk Island will become Rotary Island during conference week, organisers predict it will be so popular that every fourth person on the island will be a Rotarian.

Puru (PDG Purushothaman) chaired the National PolioPlus Committee on reducing the occurrence of Polio in India to 256 in the year 2001. Puru has received “Service above Self”, “Meritorious Service Awards” and “International Service Award for a Polio Free Award”.
Father Chris Riley AM will travel from Sydney; Founder and CEO of Youth Off The Streets, Father Riley has worked with disadvantaged youth for more than 35 years in a variety of roles including teacher, youth worker, probation officer, residential career and principal. Father Riley officially founded Youth Off the Streets in 1991.
Jenny Horton based in Brisbane, began her Rotary relationship in 1971 as a YEP student. Jenny has and continues to travel the world as a volunteer, speaker and task force member. Jenny has received multiple awards including “Service Award toward a Polio Free World”, “Service Above Self” and “Award Citation for Meritorious Service”.
Norfolk’s own Patricia Magri will talk about The Living Library Project supported by Rotary Club of Norfolk, an initiative to gather and record Norfolk Island stories so they are not lost and to preserve a record of Norfolk Island culture for future generations.
