South Australia’s CMI Toyota has won the 2011 Toyota President’s Award for Excellence for an unprecedented third time in four years while also being awarded the 2011 South Australian Toyota Metropolitan Dealer of the Year Award.

The 2011 Central Region Toyota Excellence Awards black tie awards dinner and presentation ceremony took place at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday 17th March.

The Toyota President’s Award, the highest honour a dealership can achieve by Toyota Australia was awarded to Adelaide’s CMI Toyota.

Roy Marando, General Manager of CMI Toyota says, “to win the President’s Award, a dealership has to achieve a number of best practice benchmarks across every facet of their operations including achieving excellence in customer sales satisfaction and customer service satisfaction”.

“At CMI Toyota we know that selling a vehicle is just the first step in our customers’ experience. What happens after that is even more important. We always strive to match the quality of our products with the very best customer service experience for as long as they own their vehicle. This award is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team,” says Mr Marando.

The Toyota President's Award rewards consistent improvement and growth across all facets of a dealership's operations.

“Importantly after winning this award the first time, we didn’t rest on our laurels. We won it for the third time because we are relentless in our pursuit of excellence, and consistently strive for more improvement and innovation” adds Mr Marando. “The proof is in our long-term relationships with many of our customers. Happy customers and their repeat business is such a large part of our operation.”

CMI Toyota was also awarded the 2011 South Australian Dealer of the Year Award, recognising the highest performing Toyota dealer in their region across all facets of the business.

Mr Marando explains why he is equally satisfied with this result. “Winning Dealer of the Year is a huge pat on the back for our entire team because it recognises all-round business performance including customer service, sales targets, market share, training, warranty issues and inventory management.”

“The success of any retail business depends on repeat and referral business, so we must have well-trained and highly motivated staff. Only then can we aim for the ultimate – customers who enjoy dealing with us and have full confidence in all our services. This award recognises our brilliant team. They’ve earned it,” he adds proudly.
