Tech company Mercury IT has been awarded Premier Certification from industry leaders Cisco, making them the first business on the Gold Coast to receive such this level of certification.

Mercury IT director Luke Halliday says the partnership is incredibly important to his company’s future.

“As one of the world’s biggest providers of networking software, hardware and utilities, Cisco has been a vital partner of ours during our initial growth, and continues to be a major source of strength as we move forward,” he says.

“Receiving the Premier Certification from the company is a major coup for us, and serves as confirmation of what we’ve been doing to date as a growing business.

“I look forward to working together with Cisco as our respective companies build on our successes to deliver the best results for clients.”

To achieve Cisco Premier Certification, companies are required to achieve the Cisco Express Foundation Specialisation, which includes tests on technical competency in the integration of basic routing and switching, wireless LANs, and security technologies.

In 2010 Mercury IT came fifth in the CRN Fast50 IT industry awards for the fastest growing IT service companies in Australia after growing organically on a purely referral basis over six years in business.
