NSW Residents are not claiming cash rebates for energy efficient fridges, freezers, washing machines, and dishwashers.

Rebates are available under NSW Government's Energy Savings Scheme from an Accredited Certificate Provider, Greenmoola.com.

Greenmoola.com representative, Craig Jones, is concerned that NSW residents don't know about the rebate program. Jones said that "The rebate may help people make better long term purchasing decisions that consider the running costs of whitegoods".

The dollar amount of the rebate depends on the star rating of the appliance. For example, a 5 star front loading washing machine has a rebate of $30.

The rebate program started in April 2011 and only a small number of people have claimed their rebates.

NSW residents can claim their rebates from www.greenmoola.com
