Country Matters, a show which brings issues that matter to you from all corners of the nation, returned for its second series on Saturday 12 September screening in the 3pm timeslot on the Macquarie Southern Cross Ten Network.

Series Producer Graham Lang said, "With a reinvigorated format and new presenters, Adam Digby and Susie Osment, the program promises to deliver informative and entertaining stories tailored to rural and regional viewers.

"We have a rich bloodline of rural and regional stories to share including those of individuals, families and communities. Additionally we will feature activities and events across rural and regional Australia, while also recognising our national music and sporting icons."

The program will also report on the latest in agricultural products, technologies and innovations, government policies, property tenders, climate and weather risks.

"As we strive to ensure sustainable Australian agriculture in our tough climate and economical conditions, rural people are constantly being introduced to new farming initiatives," Graham said.

"We are keen to enhance viewers understanding and knowledge of these, to help ensure they have the facts required to make informed decisions."

But above all, the program will focus on the stories of the people within regional and rural Australia.

"We strongly believe that it is our people who define our Australian landscape. Our focus will therefore be on telling their stories and highlighting the community spirit that underpins life in the Australian bush."

Country Matters is an initiative of Macquarie Southern Cross Ten Network with Sponsorship support from Optus, Commonwealth Bank Agribusiness and Manildra.

Each week every story on the show will be available for viewing on the Country Matters website.
