the restaurant, which is known for its ethos positive eating + positive living, has introduced a menu that recognises the importance of fresh, delicious, healthy food that can be eaten in or prepared for take-out

jacqueline majer, marketing manager for wagamama australia, says:

"wagamama understands the benefits of a balanced lifestyle with emphasis on a healthy diet. this summer we are placing extra focus on a fantastically fresh and healthy menu which provides our customers with good nutritious and lighter options. this season we are offering dishes such as fresh rice paper rolls, a healthy grilled chicken katsu with brown rice and curry sauce, and a yummy stir-fry with green tea noodles"

brown rice, tofu, ginger and lemongrass are all beneficial ingredients used in the dishes, as well as a combination of fresh produce, including iceberg lettuce, spring onions, carrot, capsicum and chilli

the menu sticks to the japanese-inspired cuisine that wagamama is known for, with fresh fruit juices completing the menu

nutritionist, ashley neckerauer says it’s exciting to see restaurants take on the challenge of providing consumers with healthy, balanced meals

“wagamama’s new summer specials menu epitomises a healthy, nutritionally sound and delicious diet. it’s not only appetising, but encompasses all the major food groups into each serve”

“the most ideal meal from the menu is the ponzu stir-fry with chasoba (green tea) noodles. this meal would be perfect for lunch, dinner or to share as a snack. it’s nutrient and antioxidant rich, without any added saturated fat, sugar or salt, so you get all the good stuff without any guilt!”

the menu will be available until the end of february 2012
