G.J. Gardner Homes has been named the third best franchise for percentage growth in the value of worldwide sales when rated against the top 200 franchised companies operating in the United States. *

A newly released report “The 2011 Franchise Times Top 200” shows that G.J. Gardner Homes has experienced a sales growth of 48.1% over the year, securing its place as third based on percentage growth. The report also sees G.J. Gardner Homes listed as 125th franchised company in the United States, based on worldwide sales. The positive figures highlight the true success of the new homebuilder’s strong franchising model.

Ross Morley, Managing Director of G.J. Gardner Homes in Victoria and Tasmania said that the company is delighted with the report’s findings.

“The new report shows the importance of G.J. Gardner Homes as a global franchising model.

“We are thrilled that the company has ranked so highly based on percentage growth this year, which is a very promising sign for our future.

“Franchising is a great way to run your own business, whilst still receiving support from others. Mentoring our franchisees in Victoria and Tasmania is the highlight of my job and I know this sentiment is felt throughout our company, globally.

“Our franchisees have the opportunity to speak to each other on a regular basis at our regular meetings to ensure they can learn from each other.”

Greg Gardner started G.J. Gardner Homes in 1983 and established an excellent reputation for building quality homes on time and to a budget. Greg and his team worked hard and grew the company to eight regional design centres. Greg and his team built up to 800+ custom homes per year. The decision to franchise the business was made in 1995 as a way to give staff and management a share of the business.

Today, twenty eight years later, G.J. Gardner homes typically sell over 2,000 homes per year and continue to maintain their reputation for quality and reliability. G.J. Gardner Homes have over 95 design centres across Australia, America and New Zealand which are supported by an additional 9 corporate support offices.

G.J. Gardner Homes is proud to be a company that customers can trust. The company is proud to have won many housing industry awards. This month in Victoria and Tasmania, G.J. Gardner Homes’ franchisees have won: the Franchising Warrnambool Business Excellence Award; and the Tasmanian Display Home of the Year.

*The ranking is based on percentage of sales growth for the year (using previous year’s sales data to compare companies), according to information released last week by U.S. report, “The Franchising Times 200”. See more information on the report below.
