The International Association of IT Asset Managers (IAITAM) today announced a strategic alliance with ITT Active Pty Ltd that will bring IT asset management (ITAM) certification courses and education to Australia.

ITT Active Pty Ltd is an independent Australian company with over 20 years' experience with ITAM Processes and Procedures. The company specializes in educating Australian companies on the value of software asset management (SAM) and having proper processes and procedures in place for managing both hardware and software assets.

IAITAM is dedicated to bringing ITAM education and best practices to organizations around the world. As an advocate for asset management, IAITAM is extremely active in the promotion of standards and awareness building within the industry.

Under the agreement with IAITAM, ITT Active's clients and prospects will have the ability to partake in IAITAM's professional training and certification programs commencing with:

Certified Software Asset Manager - CSAM
Certified IT Asset Manager - CITAM
Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional - CHAMP
"Establishing global standards for IT Asset Management has been our goal as an association since we opened our doors and now, with the growth and success of IAITAM, we are headed in the right direction towards making this a reality," said John Lovelock, Managing Director, IAITAM Europe Ltd. "The partnership with ITT Active is an important next step for expanding into new markets. Early on, Australian organizations have recognized the value that IAITAM professional education adds to an enterprise. We look forward to working with ITT Active as they share our common goal and have an established and respected business within the country."

Karin van Arkelen, Managing Director of ITT Active, said, "It is a really exciting time for IAITAM, ITT Active and for the IT and Software Asset Management communities in Australia. For the first time, internationally recognized and accredited IT and SAM training will be available in Australia. Increasingly, organizations recognize the value and benefits of having an IT and SAM program, such as being able to save significant amounts of money on software purchases and mitigating risks associated with under licensing and reputational damage.

"We are looking forward to offering IAITAM's extensive range of world acclaimed IT and SAM training services to our clients. Now, Australians can take IAITAM's certification training courses in-person, which we believe will greatly assist Australian businesses to gain internationally recognized IT and SAM qualifications for their IT and business staff."

IAITAM has recently announced strategic partnerships in Poland, the U.K. and Japan as part of a global program towards ITAM standards education.
