Alchemy Innovation Development, in association with the NSW Department of State and Regional Development (DSRD), announces a Call for Applications for the Stepping Up – Preparation for an Equity Capital Raising program.
The program is targeted toward NSW-based SMEs, participants will receive 20 hours of mentoring and workshops which will prepare companies with the elements required to execute an equity capital-raising through the Australian Small Scale Offerings Board (www.assob.com.au).
“When we ran the Stepping Up Capital Raising program earlier this year, we realised the considerable demand for a capital-raising program targeted toward high growth, high potential businesses,” says Managing Director of Alchemy Innovation Development, Mr Dan Liszka.
“However many applicants could not participate because they did not yet have a business plan or financial projections. This program will assist those companies to develop the required resources in order to grow the business and pursue an equity capital raising. Selected companies can utilise the DSRD support of $990, matched by the company, towards the costs of the program.”
The development program includes:
• Process and elements required for an equity capital raising in Australia,
• Development of a plain English business plan,
• Preparation of financial projections based on EBITs, utilising industry comparisons,
• Business documentation templates,
• Regulatory environments,
• Key factors to a successful capital raising,
• Establishment of a 90-day action plan.
The criteria for selection as a participant is company turn-over of more than $200,000, operating for more than 2 years, with more than 1 employee.

An information evening session will be held at the NSW Trade and Investment Centre, Level 47, MLC Centre on Wednesday 12 August, 2009 at 5.30pm.
A webinar will be held Thursday 13th August at 5.30pm.
