Triquestra International, developer of Infinity Retail Management Systems (RMS), has today announced an agreement with the Department of Conservation (DOC) to implement a centralised sales and inventory management system at 22 visitor centres across New Zealand.

DOC manages the natural and historic values of about a third of New Zealand on behalf of the public and is also tasked with encouraging recreation on public conservation land.

The department manages a network of visitor centres operating in national parks, regional towns and cities across New Zealand.

DOC’s Commercial Business director David Wilks says the department wants to increase the funds available for conservation by growing the revenue opportunities from this retail network and has selected Infinity Retail Management System to standardise retail procedures, such as banking reconciliations, and improve inventory management.

“Technology to support the efficiency and opportunity of this network is the key to increasing the revenue available for conservation. We see great advantage in working with Triquestra International to achieve this and we look forward to kicking off this project.”

Triquestra International will work with DOC to install the Infinity Head Office system, link up all visitor centres, cleanse data, upgrade ten existing sites that use Infinity RMS and configure each site according to its specific requirements. It will also provide a training program to enable internal ‘train the trainer’ sessions ongoing. The project will commence immediately to conclude before the end of the year.

“DOC came to us with a scenario in support of a very clear objective: how to free up and create additional financial resources in a retail environment to then allocate directly back into conservation efforts. We’re delighted to be part of this sustainable retail project,” said Kelly Brown, Chief Executive Officer at Triquestra.

Infinity RMS is designed to escalate profit by increasing sales and successfully managing inventory, suppliers, pricing, promotions, staff and customers. Its “always on” sales transaction processing eliminates down time in remote areas where network is not consistently available, and its centralised inventory management functionality enables optimisation of stock turns and superior merchandising decisions. Infinity RMS also automates specific data capture to provide opportunities to better understand customers.
