Thousands of families are choosing to make the move from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast, but a schoolhouse? That's right! Take an old Brisbane schoolhouse and stick it on the second highest spot in Montville, with 9 acres of uninterrupted panoramic views of Lake Baroon and the Blackall Range, and you have the makings of something spectacular.

Two years later the building has been transformed into a classically decorated manor by Montville couple Neil and Heidi Holmes. "Our friends and family have come up here and said you've got to turn this into a holiday house and let other people experience just how amazing this is", says Heidi.

"The building was constructed in the early 1900's and was used by St Aidan's school in Corinda as a performing arts and dance studio" says Neil.

Since then the couple have worked tirelessly to transform the old schoolhouse. Heidi, a local interior designer, says the aim was to "preserve the dignity and beauty of the original design while incorporating modern fittings in classic styles".

Restorations are complete and Montville Lake Terrace is ready to open its doors to the public as prestigious holiday rental accommodation.
