13 October 2011 – In a significant development for the South Australian biotech community, the 2011 AusBiotech Conference, to be held in Adelaide from 16 - 19 October 2011, will coincide with the launch of the new joint venture business “Ellex Precise”.

A partnership between Adelaide-based businesses Ellex Medical Pty Ltd and Precise Global Pty Ltd, Ellex Precise has been established to offer a range of technical and commercial services to support the commercialisation of innovative medical technologies in Australia.

According to Ellex Precise Director Grant Tinney, founder of Precise Global, the Australian biotech industry is thriving, offering world-class infrastructure and expertise – and significant opportunity for growth of the Ellex Precise business.

“We have a proven track record in the commercialisation of medical technologies, and will leverage our unique capabilities in the areas of engineering design and development, precision machining and low-volume artisan manufacturing in order to target the growing biotech space.”
