Anittel Group Limited (ASX: ‘AYG’- ‘Anittel’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to announce that it has entered into agreements with the NBN Co to offer services on the National Broadband Network. Anittel will be among the first carriers able to deliver the new high speed fibre network to its existing and new regional business customers. Regional customers in Townsville and Armidale are set to be the first beneficiaries of the new services.
The ability to provide NBN services will enhance Anittel’s focus on pioneering combined IT and Telecommunication services for small to medium businesses. The NBN will also assist Anittel to deliver its growing cloud based service offerings.
Peter Kazacos, Anittel Managing Director explains, “Cloud technology is the new standard for business operations. While many metropolitan based businesses have been able to adopt and gain advantages of cloud, regional firms have been left to play catch up.
The NBN will facilitate reliable high speed internet access at an affordable price; this will empower regional SMBs. They will no longer be constricted by their location, they’ll gain the full benefits of cloud technology and drive innovation as they increase competition against their metropolitan based rivals.”
The NBN agreement follows Anittel’s recent acquisition of regional reseller Future Townsville and its recognition by ARN as the nation’s 2011 SMB IT and Telecommunications reseller of the year. Peter Kazacos highlights, “We will continue to focus on delivering great local customer service across both IT and Telecommunication disciplines; as the NBN is lit up across the nation our local teams and national support structures will continue to grow as we expand our regional footprint.”
