When purchasing a new piece of clothing from a Noni B store this month, shoppers will be helping to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged women with a portion of proceeds being donated to not-for-profit organisation, Dress for Success.

Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organisation which helps to outfit disadvantaged women in professional attire as well as providing them with practical advice, support and much needed confidence when preparing for a job interview.

General Manager of Buying and Marketing, Rhonda Kilpatrick, is very pleased to be supporting such a highly regarded organisation that has helped more than 600,000 women across the globe.

“Our stores are very excited about supporting such a valuable cause, Dress for Success provides much needed assistance and tools to less fortunate women in their pursuit to a find suitable job and remain employed.”

Megan Etheridge, Founder and Chairman from Dress for Success Sydney, explains how the organisations initiatives can make a difference in the lives of women in need.

“Many of us wouldn’t think twice about purchasing a new outfit for a job opportunity, unfortunately this isn’t the reality for all women with thousands across Australia struggling to live day to day thanks to the limited income or job prospects available to them.

“Every year Dress for Success supports thousands of women who have had to overcome adversity or been out of the workforce for some time. By providing them with a new outfit and valuable advice our goal is to set them up to thrive both in work and in life,” she explains.

Women who come to Dress for Success are provided with clothing appropriate for the industry in which they are interviewing. Once they have secured a job they receive additional clothing to mix and match with several outfits, providing them with a foundation for a professional wardrobe.

While the organisation is best known for ‘dressing women for success’, it recognises that finding work is one step in a woman's journey towards economic independence and as such offers employment retention programs that help women remain employed and build a rewarding career.

Shoppers who wish to support the Dress for Success initiative can receive 25% discount for their efforts by visiting Noni B on Facebook and Twitter at @nonibfashion. For every voucher redeemed in store, up until 28 August, $1 will be donated to Dress for Success.

There are over 200 Noni B stores located throughout Australia, to find out more about Dress for Success and how to support this initiative visit, http://www.nonib.com.au
