Bangkok - Sikarin Hospital, one of Thailand's leading health service providers, has signed a five-year deal for iSOFT hospital information systems (HIS) under a move to provide a full electronic medical record (EMR) for all patients and so improve its services, the quality of care and patient safety.

Under plans to extend its patient services and secure JCI accreditation, Sikarin Hospital needed a scalable, proven hospital information system to improve communications and productivity across the hospital, and so help cut patient waiting times and costs.

With comprehensive services and workflows across the 215-bed inpatient hospital and growing demands on the 2,800 a day outpatient clinic, Sikarin Hospital chose iSOFT's Enterprise Management and Health Intelligence solutions to replace an existing home-grown hospital information system that is unable to support its ambitions and future growth. The solution will give clinicians instant, point-of-care access to a full EMR and accurate patient information to help improve patient care and safety significantly.
