Weekly Adelaide real estate show Toop TV explores the reasons for - and the benefits of - the very affordable Adelaide rental market in Episode 87 at

In this episode, viewers will find out why more locals are choosing to move into rental accommodation as a precursor to entering the property market.

Low rents are unlikely to survive, the program discovers from RP Data’s Cameron Kusher who predicts a fall in property prices to a “worst case scenario” of 5 per cent before they rebound as families and investors compete for the limited stock available.

In the meantime, affordable rents translate into high occupancy rates and that means a steady return on investment for those people who’ve already put their future into bricks and mortar, while interviewer Anthony Toop speculates that the current dip in the stock market will drive people into the security of the brick-solid property market.
