With every email address a non-profit organisation collects said to be worth $3, return on investment in social media is a major theme of the fifth international Connecting Up conference for the non-profit sector (Novotel Brighton, Sydney, May 11-13).

The conference includes keynotes from Tracey Fellows, managing director of Microsoft, Google Australia's head of engineering, Alan Noble, Bill Petch from Barnardos, and Martin Stewart-Weeks, Chair of the Australian Social Innovation Exchange.

Jay Dedman and Ryanne Hodson of ShowinaBox.tv will conduct a full day workshop – Wednesday 13 May – to share their expertise in using free tools to create and publish powerful videos.
