NewsMaker reserves the right to reject any press release submission for any reason whatsoever, without explanation. NewsMaker also reserves the right to make any changes in a press release submitted: these changes would typically be for editing purposes to ensure releases are of a professional quality and gain maximum exposure. NewsMaker reserves the right to make changes to spelling, wording, syntax, headlines, key points and body copy.
SPECIFIC RESTRICTED PRESS RELEASE CONTENT
Note that NEWSMAKER reserves the right to refuse to publish press releases for any reason, but in particular in the following groups and categories. Restrictions may vary depending on the region your campaign targets, the value provided to the reader, and the quality of the content.
- Excessively repeat content or spam
- Adult (eg, pornography)
- Financial services such as get rich quick schemes
- Any press release with unsubstantiated claims, including claims that are disputed by a third party
NB: If a claim made in a press release is disputed by a third party, that press release will be removed until the matter is resolved.
NewsMaker does not warranty or guarantee that your press release will be delivered immediately. NewsMaker does not warranty or guarantee that your press release will be successful in obtaining media coverage.
NewsMaker does not warranty or guarantee that your press release will be successfully emailed to every journalist on your media list, due to the prevalence of spam filters but we make every effort to ensure delivery. NewsMaker also reserves the right to edit Media Lists to help ensure their relevance.
Once published, NewsMaker reserves the right to email your press release to any party, and to publish your press release on other websites.
Members may not enter more than 3 links to the same website domain in any press release. Links to the website of the user's choice are already provided. Search engines penalise 'spam' links in online content and 'over-linking' is not in our Members' best interests.
NewsMaker will at no time send a single press release to more than 20 media categories simultaneously. This proviso is designed to ensure the service results in targeted and effective distribution of press releases to Australian media; that the service is not used to indiscriminately bombard recipients with press releases; and to ensure that the system does not breach the Spam Act 2003.
NewsMaker also reserves the right to reject any press release application that the service moderator believes is not suited to the selected media categories.
We reserve the right to correct any typographical error in a press release or error in pricing or product information on the Site without notice.

By registering to become a member of NewsMaker or by logging in to the website and/or using the service, you agree that use of the website is entirely at your own risk, including any subsequent media interviews or media coverage or other result obtained.
