Adelaide residents and businesses are set to benefit from heated competition amongst energy retailers.
The current battle for customers has seen innovative offerings from the likes of AGL, Australia’s leading integrated renewable energy company.
The company is one of the first major energy retailers in Australia to launch an online service that is similar to internet banking, putting more control into customers’ hands when it comes to managing their energy accounts.
And in terms of putting cash back in people’s pockets, AGL is running a national competition where one lucky winner could have their energy bills paid for three years.
AGL Energy Online allows residential and small business customers to perform a range of functions in minutes; set up an online energy account, set up direct debit or pay bills online, view past bills and energy consumption, view their account balance, update their contact details and organise their electricity and gas connection when moving.
AGL General Manager Marketing & Retail Sales, Mark Brownfield, says the company is excited to launch the innovative and user-friendly online site.
“Adelaide residents can sign up and manage their own energy account in a secure, convenient and easy online portal, which is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
“We know people love to use internet banking and here’s another opportunity to access and manage another essential service, which is energy.
He said that to coincide with the launch of the online service, AGL has come up with an exciting competition.
“One lucky person will win up to three years of free energy2 by simply registering to AGL Energy Online. Regardless if you are a family of four or a business with 30 employees, one lucky winner will not have to worry about paying their energy bills until 2014.
“Customers will receive additional entries in the draw to win the three year’s free energy, if they continue to receive paperless bills and/or sign up for direct debit2.
“We encourage AGL customers to register for free to AGL Energy Online, and if you’re not a customer, switching to AGL is simple and can be done online,” said Mr Brownfield.
AGL is Australia’s leading integrated renewable energy company and has a proud heritage of providing energy products and services to Australian residents and businesses for 174 years.
