BOURG-LES-VALENCE, FRANCE--(Marketwire - May 5, 2011) - (Interpack 2011 in Dusseldorf - Hall 14 - Booth D29) Markem-Imaje is strengthening its position as a supplier for innovative coding and marking equipment at this year's Interpack exhibit in Dusseldorf, Germany. From the 12th to 18th of May 2011, Markem-Imaje will be presenting its new inkjet printer: 9232. Markem-Imaje is not only setting new standards in continuous inkjet technology (CIJ) but also with regards to customer orientation. A complete concept will be revealed that combines increased performance, factual evidence for customers as well as sustainability and eco-initiatives.

The 9232 printer is convincing by its improved, and for the first time, measurable availability rate and reduced consumable consumption. Estimations show that the 9232 will optimize the customers' total cost of ownership by 20% in comparison with competitors. The full manufacturer warranty on the equipment is 18 months with a 5-year warranty available (wear parts, break fix and labor).

"One of the main concerns of today's product managers is the unpredictable future line stoppage," reports Christophe Lopez, Markem-Imaje VP Marketing. "With 9232, we bring unmatched reliability to the CIJ market. The availability rate of 9232 was measured at 99.6% during field tests without assistance due to our new ink circuit and innovative printhead." The other unique feature which is again in line with customer needs is the IP65 stainless steel cabinet requiring no plant air. "The printer can be washed down daily with a high pressure water jet without any problem. It is very unique for a latest generation CIJ printer," explains Pascal Vergniaud, the 9232 Product Manager.

The new color touch screen with icons makes operations intuitive for the user. It gives access to real time display of remaining capacity, tracks consumption and printer availability. "This is the only printer where the operator can monitor the availability rate 'live'," adds Pascal Vergniaud.

The 9232 is composed of 80% recyclable materials and can be run with a new consumable offer of Ketone and MEK-free inks which are also RoHS-compliant. All in all, 9232 limits environmental impact and supports environmental protection initiatives.

All these features and commitments will be proved directly at Interpack Hall 14, Booth D29.
