Western Australia’s MAX Employment sites scooped the top three awards at the Job Services Australia provider’s recent Awards Night.

The top three awards were Site of the Year to Joondalup, Regional Manager of the Year to Scott Laing and Employee of the Year went to two recipients, Jane Waterton and Michelle Thomas of the Leonora site. Joondalup’s Kristina Stabback also took home Placement Consultant of the Year.

With 74 offices around the country in a competitive environment, receiving these prestigious awards is evidence of hard work, dedication and passion.

Managing Director Mr Michael Hobday had great pleasure in announcing the awards and commended the WA teams on their achievements.

“I’m so incredibly proud of these individuals. Across the state, the offices and outreach locations placed 4068 people into work last year” he said.

“Jane and Michelle service our Outreach sites in some of Australia’s most remote locations and epitomise our culture of passion and drive. Scott drives his teams with motivation and is transparent with targets and expectations and Joondalup as a team embody our motto of finding jobs and changing lives.”

On accepting her award, Ms Jane Waterton stated “We may not share an office with our colleagues, but we share and incredible team spirit. Our win is their win”.

The annual Awards Night was held in conjunction with a three day conference in Ipswich, Queensland which endured severe flooding in January.

The conference with 100 delegates aimed to inject cash flow and business into the flood-ravaged area to boost the local economy. The company also conducted an internal auction and month-long donation campaign with all proceeds raised going to the Ipswich Mayor’s Flood Appeal. With staff donations and the company matching dollar for dollar, MAX Employment has written a cheque for $74,000.
