Adelaide's own original, instrumental and eclectic seven piece band Akoustic Odyssey are playing at the vibrant Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre in Adelaide on the 22nd March.
Fresh from their performances at WOMADelaide, the Adelaide Fringe and Macclesfield Summer Of Love, Akoustic Odyssey are riding the wave of festivals that immerses Adelaide in music, art and diverse cultural goodness, making it come alive.
Doors open at 4pm and tickets are $15 & $10 with children 12 and under FREE! This event will be “Family Friendly” with the wonderful venue having drinks and tasty platters of food available at very reasonable prices.
Eager to introduce their fans to some exciting new tunes, the band is certain to entertain and will again treat the crowd to their own brand of rich, intricate and diverse compositions.
Akoustic Odyssey will also play a comprehensive selection of pieces from their recorded material, in particular those from their recently released “Ilios” CD.
Akoustic Odyssey's music has built the group an ever growing fan base in their home town of Adelaide, South Australia and their original tracks have been receiving regular airplay on Radio Adelaide, 5EBI, 3d Radio and ABC FM's Classic Drive with Julia Lester.
Their live performances and original CD releases have met with high praise and critical acclaim, with the band receiving a nomination for the "Most Outstanding Group" in the 2008 SA Folk Federation awards.
