Wednesday, April 6th, 2011 - Camp Quality

This May, Camp Quality, the children’s family cancer charity that believes laughter is the best medicine, presents the Camp Quality Supper Club, a series of exclusive fine dining experiences in six major cities across Australia. Funds raised will help Camp Quality to bring fun and happiness into the lives of children and their families living with cancer.

For one night only in each participating city, Australia’s most highly acclaimed chefs and best-known restaurants including Assagio Ristorante, Chianti Classico and Chloe’s will open their doors to groups of 12 Supper Club diners for ‘vintage glamour’ themed dinner parties with a difference.

Not only will guests be impressed by stunning food, complementary Chandon wines and FIJI Water, but after being transported to culinary heaven in a top restaurant, each party of 12 will be whisked away in luxurious Lexus vehicles to a secret after-dinner party where Camp Quality Supper Club diners will dance the night away in the true spirit of Camp Quality.

Even better, guests can be rest assured that proceeds from their special evening will give children a break from cancer, whether they attend a famous Camp Quality camp or fun day, meet the charity’s animated puppet Giggle in hospital or have a school visit from Camp Quality’s Performance and Education Team.
Following in the footsteps of previous ambassadors including Kate Ritchie and Hugh Sheridan, this year Rosanna Mangiarelli is the face of Camp Quality Supper Club in Adelaide.

Rosanna said: ‘’I’m thrilled to take on the role of Camp Quality Supper Club Ambassador. It’s such an anticipated event and I love that it helps bring fun and laughter to children living with cancer.’

Camp Quality dad Andrew Poynting, whose daughter Amy was diagnosed with brain cancer at 3 years old, said:
“Amy didn’t know anything except the inside of the hospital for a year and half. For her to go play with the other girls her own age at a Camp Quality Family camp was just priceless.”

The cost to support a Camp Quality family on their cancer journey for one year is $2,500.

The 2011 Camp Quality Supper Club event will take place in Adelaide on Thursday, 26 May and the price per table of 12, including all food and wine is $2,400.

Camp Quality Supper Club is kindly supported by Chandon Australia, Lexus Australia and FIJI Water.
