RGB Image, a production agency specialising in video advertisements, has announced the launch of Treat-Me.com.au, a website which offers writers the chance to submit their own scripts for major brand advertisements.

Writers can submit an advertising script, or treatment, for a variety of brands and products. Scripts are then judged by the Treat-Me.com.au's user community, which ranks the treatments based on how different, effective, and compelling they seem.

The writers who receive the most votes each week will receive two free passes to Palace Cinemas, an Australia-wide movie chain, plus a creative software pack worth over $250

Treat-Me is a fun way for writers to build their resumes and gain exposure, but it's something that even non-writers can take part in, said Dean Arnold, Creative Director for RGB Image. Everyone has that moment where they're watching a poor tv ad and they think, 'I could do better than this.' Treat me gives you an opportunity to prove it.

In addition to free Palace Cinema tickets, Treat Me offers rewards of up to $5,000 if a writer's treatments are eventually used in a real ad. Users are also encouraged to make new contacts on Treat Me and to use their entries on the website as part of their job portfolios.

We've built our business on compelling advertisements and we know that the best ideas can come from anywhere, said Dean Arnold. Treat-Me is a great networking opportunity for new writers and directors. As our user community picks the best ads, the quality of the treatments is already incredible. Treat-Me could be the future of advertising.
