Skybox Offers Distributors and VARs the Opportunity for New Revenue With a Suite of Security Analytics Solutions That Elevate Offerings in Cybersecurity Management
SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 8, 2016) - Skybox® Security, a global leader in security analytics, today announced enhancements to the Skybox Security Partner Program. Based on the company's success with its channels in EMEA, Skybox is enriching its global channel program to support expected growth in APAC and North America. New technologies and services will improve access to resources, on-boarding processes and technical training for the Skybox® Security Suite.
As attack surface complexity continues to increase, CISOs and security leaders are more frequently turning toward consolidated cybersecurity management solutions. "Integrated security analytics add much-needed intelligence to risk assessments, threat and attack response and security strategy," said Skybox VP of EMEA Justin Coker. "They unify and contextualize data for a view of the attack surface unmatched by any point product alone. To be able to go to a customer and say, 'We can help you extract more value from the library of point products you already have,' we know we'll be able to engage them at a more senior level."
In EMEA, Skybox partners have proven that adding the Skybox Security Suite to their offerings helps VARs and distributors position themselves as trusted security advisors who can guide customers who are interested in maturing their security program.
"The platform also gives our partners the opportunity to grow year-over-year revenue," continued Coker. "Most customers start with one or two modules, but they very quickly realize the benefits of working with a platform and end up purchasing more soon after."
Coker said that Skybox channel partners typically triple revenue through renewable and additional sales to customers over a three-year period.
In 2016 (January through May), Skybox showed a 53 percent increase in sales from deals closed by its partners, compared to the same period in 2015. In addition, Skybox's partner pipeline has grown rapidly during this period, with opportunities from partners up 326 percent compared to 2015.
As Skybox expands its channel program, the company will look to engage with a select group of partners who understand the needs of their territory and can strategically position Skybox solutions. While Skybox will continue to fortify its EMEA channel program, heavy growth in APAC is also expected, with key partnerships already established with HCL and Wipro. By year-end 2017, Skybox aims to move to 100 percent indirect sales worldwide.
"We're already 100 percent indirect outside of North America," said Skybox EVP of Worldwide Sales Stewart Fox. "EMEA is by far our strongest channel program, solidified by long-standing partnerships with industry leaders such as BT, NTT, Verizon, ATOS and Arrow ECS who see the value-add of our offerings. We're looking to expand this model to the rest of the world, working with the 'right' partners in each region."
New partner technologies and services are expected to be available this summer. Existing and prospective channel partners can discuss the upcoming enhancements with Skybox in person at the Infosecurity Europe Conference June 7-9.
