Sunday, October 31st, 2010 - Whistler’s Fine Chocolates and Confectionery

Whistler’s Fine Chocolates and Confectionery has won the Best Marketing Award sponsored by Westways Colorgrafix at the recent 2010 Belmont Small Business Awards. The business awards have been running since 1994 and provide a fantastic opportunity for small and growing enterprises to be recognised for their achievements.

Whistler's Fine Chocolates and Confectionery Managing Director, Ian Sargent said of the win, “We are so excited to win the Best Marketing award. Although we are the oldest confectionery company in the state, we take inspiration from days of old but try to mix that with modern marketing tools and techniques. We have also recently built a new and enticing showroom to house our wares, which allows the public to sample and purchase our products directly."

Specialising in irresistible handmade chocolates, Whistler's Fine Chocolates and Confectionery has also recently won awards at the 2010 Perth Royal Show. Product lines include old favourites such as Rocky Road, Chocolate Licorice and Peanut Brittle, as well as a new modern gourmet line.

Carol Hanlon, Manager of Belmont Business Enterprise Centre, said, "Previous winners of the Belmont Small Business Awards have found the awards a fantastic launching pad to bigger and better things and I will be watching with excitement to see Whistler's grow their business."
