Urban Marketing is now commercialising the Mobiactions® platform in Australia after a set of successful campaigns in Japan for MasterCard (NYSE: MA), Paramount Pictures (NYSE: VIA), Quicksilver (NYSE: ZQK) and Toshiba (JP: 6502).

These interactive campaigns allowed the companies to run branded content or games simultaneously on mobile, online and outdoor digital displays. Consumers could interact with that content or participate in those games through videocalling, mobile or PC web or, in a world first, by dialing-in directly from the street. In addition some campaigns had the capability to allow callers to video-blog their opinions directly to a website from their 3G mobile phones.

Urban Marketing will be rolling out branded converged media services throughout Australia with a focus on outdoor, mobile and online advertising campaigns.

The Mobiactions® roadshow in late 2009 indicated this technology was ripe for deploying in Australia as advertisers and content owners alike needed a system to easily interact with consumers across mobile, online and outdoor touch points.
