Internet solutions provider NetStart today released its MenuPad restaurant application for immediate download via the Apple App Store and announced its first customer in the Middle East.  

NetStart Managing Director and MenuPad Founder Jock Gordon said the company had been inundated by enquiries since its launch in June, when it became the first menu application for the iPad worldwide, launched at Sydney's Mundo Global Tapas restaurant, part of Rydges Hotels & Resorts.

The interactive menu and ordering system for hospitality venues and food franchises is now being used in countries all over the world, with diners in Asia, Europe and the Middle East experiencing the power of ordering from the iPad.

Gordon said that NetStart had focused on making the application adaptable and easy to use.

For a small monthly fee, the system gives restaurant owners an easy way to manage their menus at the click of a button using a simple web interface. Patrons can then order directly from iPads provided at their table.

MenuPad has received immense interest worldwide since its Australian launch. Craig Simpson, General Manager of Rydges North Sydney, who has been using MenuPad since June said, “In the past I've struggled to find a unique and dynamic menu format that suits the Mundo brand - but MenuPad is perfect."

The system is cost-effective, starting from as little as AU$10/month per iPad with no expensive costs associated with developing a solution for each individual restaurant. MenuPad is customisable with features being added monthly. Gordon said that the product will grow with user requests, including multilingual versions.
