Savvy, one of Australia’s fastest growing home and vehicle finance specialists, is pleased to announce its partnership with the Childhood Cancer Association (CCA).

Savvy helped by taking the “Ultimate Pie Challenge.”  The Ultimate Pie Challenge encourages people to smooch a cream pie in the face to give everyone a laugh whilst supporting children with cancer to raise much needed funds. The challenge also raises awareness as participants upload a video tagged with #ultimatepiechallenge on social media and “tag” others to undertake the challenge.

Together with various individuals, organisations and businesses, CCA has raised over $41,000 since the launch of the initiative in April this year. CCA hopes to raise $1 million to provide ongoing support for children with cancer and their families. These services include professional counselling, daily hospital visits for rural or interstate families, respite accommodation, home schooling and bereavement support.

These services are provided free of charge.

The individuals and organisation that have participated already in the UltimatePieChallenge are Ultimate Pie Challenge ambassador Port Adelaide Football Club captain Travis Boak, TV personality David Koch and Australian hip-hop group Hilltop Hoods. Both Port Adelaide and Adelaide Crows set aside their rivalry to join forces and participate in the challenge. Savvy CEO Bill Tsouvalas hopes Savvy and partners can raise even more funds, exceeding the $1 million goal.

Supporting Childhood Cancer Association’s Ultimate Pie Challenge might make a mess but it’s a vital cause,” Mr. Tsouvalas said. “CCA not only supports children but their families, and all the funds raised go toward keeping these much needed services available. Lend your face to the challenge so we can raise more than our goal!
