Ultramedix Australasia new 4D ultrasound range released

Melbourne based company Ultramedix Australasia Pty Ltd today announced that they have expanded their range of portable ultrasound equipment to include the new SIUI CTS-8800 scanner.

This scanner is the top of the range portable B/W model in SIUI's range and also includes colour 4D obstetrics ultrasound imaging as standard.

Says Ultramedix spokesman Saul Freedman, "We have recognized the need to provide a broad choice of portable ultrasound equipment to cover all clinical requirements and price ranges. The new CTS-8800 will appeal to many people as for the first time it provides colour 4D obstetrics imaging at the price of a B/W scanner. This will help popularize 4D imaging as up until now people who wanted 4D imaging were compelled to buy costly colour doppler scanners to do so. In addition the CTS-8800 provides superb B/W imaging with a complete range of probes for all applications and a comprehensive measurements and reporting menu. Colour flow mapping and PW doppler are optionally available with the CTS-8800 with an elastography option coming soon."

Ultramedix have just installed the first CTS-8800 in South Australia this week.

The CTS 8800 is manufactured by Shantou Institute of Ultrasonic Instruments Co., Ltd. (SIUI)who have been engaged in the development and manufacture of medical ultrasonic diagnosis scanners, and ultrasonic transducers since 1978.
