Skateboarding Australia (SbA) and Bankstown City Council have planned a day of FREE Skateboarding workshops this Saturday (July 3 2010)
The FREE Skateboarding workshops with some of Australia’s best skateboarders will be held at the Revesby Skatepark from 9am – 5pm.
No skateboard? No worries!
Skateboards and safety equipment will also be provided during the day on site with Skateboarding Australia’s nationally accredited coaches to lend a helping hand to everyone.
Skateboarding Australia’s No Fear Break-n-Enter Days encourages the importance of sport participation and is a great way for kids to get out of the house, have fun and be active.
SbA Sport Development Manager, Mr Clae McMahon, says the No Fear Break-n-Enter launch is a great way for kids to have fun and try something new during the school holidays.
“No Fear Break-n-Enter allows youth to Break away from the TV and Enter into the dynamic action sport of skateboarding,” he said.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics in 2009 recorded “49% (1.3million) of children between the ages of 5-14 had been skateboarding, rollerblading or riding a scooter” outside school hours in the past two weeks.
No Fear Break-n-Enter has been created to encourage kids to get active, stay healthy and enjoy the action sport of skateboarding in a fun safe and professionally managed environment.
Spots for the event are filling up fast so SbA are encouraging all to get in quick to avoid disappointment.
