The Joint Epilepsy Council of Australia is pleased to call for nominations for the Australian recipient of the Outstanding Person with Epilepsy Award, to be awarded at the 8th Asian & Oceanian Epilepsy Congress in Melbourne in October 2010.

This award is auspiced by the International Bureau for Epilepsy and recognizes individual achievement. Reasons for nomination are many, but may include personal achievement (eg. sport, education, the arts), community service, or advocating for people with epilepsy, and has been an inspiration to others. The only condition is that the person nominated must be a person who has epilepsy.

Nominations can be made by an individual or on behalf of an organization. Information about the Award and the application form can be downloaded from or call 1300 852 853.
