Thursday, February 25th, 2016 - RSP Recruitment

RSP Recruitment started 2016 with the intention of disrupting the recruitment industry in Australia. Their innovative social recruiting methodologies will be discussed via a series of free seminars, hosted by their knowledge centre, the Digital Academy. RSP’s Digital Academy is reinventing the recruitment industry with its thirst for new knowledge, defining the future of mobile and social recruiting.

The second of the free seminars, ‘Implementing Social Recruiting Strategies for Talent Attraction’ will focus on revolutionising recruitment using social media channels on mobile platforms to attract, engage and hire great candidates. It will be held on Tuesday 1 March at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre in Surry Hills and is targeted at recruitment and marketing managers as well as entrepreneurs and other fast growing industries.

Key note speakers include Gen George, the successful female entrepreneur behind OneShift Jobs, George Freney, the man behind shopping app Broodl and Nick Rudzki, the key strategist behind recruiting success story, Defence Force Recruiting. Defence Force Recruiting currently has the largest, most successful YouTube recruitment channel globally.

Max King, The Digital Academy’s Managing Director explains, ‘We have sought outside-the-box social recruiting strategies, and our guest speakers exemplify innovation in recruitment in an accessible way.’ He continues, ‘With founders of local Sydney start-ups, as well as strategists from globally recognised organisations, we have worked hard to provide an accessible education platform to our clients, contacts and the wider business community.’

The Digital Academy’s strategy puts the candidates firmly in control, as opposed to the employer. The race is on for organisations to leverage social media effectively and demonstrate to the top talent that they are the employer of choice. Innovative employer branding efforts are popping up all over the world: think Zappos, Netflix...and then think about Australia?

Mr King says, ‘Locally, we are behind. We need to develop and rethink our recruiting strategies regularly. We need to consider that 75% of candidates use social media for their job searches and social media was the digital tool which experienced the greatest increase in usage rates in 2015 by the recruitment sector. Australia needs to move with the times and our Digital Academy will show employers how to do this.’

Seminars will be held quarterly with details released via social media channels or contact The Digital Academy directly on 02 8005 3400.
