PERTH, Australia, February 23, 2016
Feeling like the “mean” parent while enforcing the use of computer rules upon your children is now a thing of the past. Australia based computer safety company LockMyKidsOut, is releasing an innovative software for Windows operating systems that combines a manual timer to track computer use and protects from the downloading or deletion of files, such as important images or videos.
This easy-to-use application allows the parent to switch from regular computer mode to “Kids Lock” with the simple click of the mouse - unlike many other hard to install softwares.
“I was showing my Son how to use the home computer and I found myself getting increasing worried about him [being only 4 years old] clicking the wrong buttons and deleting files like our family photos, etc. Previously he was using our cell phone that I was able to lockdown and only show a few apps that I wanted my Son to use, and that’s where the idea came from,” said LockMyKidsOut CEO & Founder Ryan Saville.
Created as a solution to every parent’s problem during this new era of technology, LockMyKidsOut allows parents to easily protect their children while using the computer. With hundreds of preset games for all ages and a preset timer that automatically locks the computer, it’s far more advanced than any other child safety application currently on the market. The ultra protective software grants parents the freedom of mind needed while their children expand their horizons on Windows operating systems.
To achieve the project’s goal of $20,000, the LockMyKidsOut team has decided to look to Kickstarter for initial funding. LockMyKidsOut will be offered on the Kickstarter website for 35 days at a deeply discounted rate to secure early membership orders and help raise the funds needed to jumpstart the user-interface design.
“Private families like ours now use the prototype on a daily basis, but it’s now time to polish it up for the general public. We are looking to Kickstarter in order to finish the design of the software and make it more user-friendly for the consumer, so parents around the world can Lock Their Kids Out – of their PC,” said Saville.
Saville says that the company plans to get this into every household in early 2016.
