14 November 2015, Perth - The president of Australian Liberty Alliance, Mrs Debbie Robinson, has made the following statement in response to the latest Islamic terrorist attack in Paris:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of the barbaric massacres committed in Paris in the name of Islam. I urge current political leaders to stop playing into the hands of Islamic terrorists by curtailing the liberty of law-abiding Australians. We know what motivates their behaviour and we understand their aims. Islam needs to be addressed."
Mrs Robinson said the command by the Islamic deity Allah for Muslims to ‘strike terror into the hearts of unbelievers’ is not a hollow threat. Fundamentalist Muslims have acted upon this and similar directives for centuries. They will continue to follow the commands of Allah and the example of the Islamic prophet Mohammed until they win - or we render them harmless.
“I urge every Muslim religious leader and prominent Muslim in Australia to stand with us. Remove any doubt, show your allegiance lies with Australia and not fundamental Islam.” Mrs Robinson continued: “Islamic leaders and prominent Muslims would set an example to the Islamic community if they signed the Proposed Charter of Muslim Understanding. Concerned Australians are entitled to know where Muslim leaders stand."
The Charter proposed by Sam Solomon, a former Muslim cleric and theologian, is available from the web site of Australian Liberty Alliance.
