Sites and Mobile Apps Provide Latest Jobs and Greater Workplace Transparency Into Employers

MILL VALLEY, CA -- (Marketwired) -- Nov 09, 2015 -- Glassdoor, the global jobs and recruiting marketplace, expands across Europe this week as the company introduces its platform to Switzerland, Austria and Belgium. With the debut of these country-specific sites and mobile apps, Glassdoor provides job seekers in each country the ability to see the latest open jobs and relevant employee-provided insights into particular companies. In addition, Glassdoor offers employers a host of tools to promote their jobs and brand to target job candidates.

"The demand for greater workplace transparency is on the rise as job seekers everywhere want to approach their next job or next career move with their eyes wide open," said Diarmuid Russell, Head of Glassdoor International. "We believe that by unlocking valuable jobs and company information for job seekers, that in turn we can help employers of a range of sizes better recruit and retain top talent. With greater transparency, job seekers have clearer expectations as to what the job entails before ever walking in the door."

Glassdoor now offers Swiss, Austrian and Belgian job seekers well over 100,000 job listings and first-hand insights into more than 8,000 employers in these three countries, including leading employers such as Credit Suisse, IMEC and Nestlé. Insights into companies include employee-provided company reviews, salary reports, interview reviews, benefit reviews and office photos. Globally, Glassdoor has more than 10 million reviews, salary reports and other types of content for 445,000 employers.

Glassdoor uses a 'give-to-get' model, offering free access to all Glassdoor data once a user contributes their own content, such as a salary report or company review. Job listings are always accessible by anyone, any time. No other jobs platform combines job listings with this level of depth and detail into specific jobs at specific companies.

In addition, approximately 3,000 employers are leveraging Glassdoor's job advertising and employer branding products to help recruit and influence job candidates. Employers can take advantage of Glassdoor's Enhanced Profile to increase influence, build awareness and recruit better candidates through customized messages and content.

More than 54,000 employers are also using a Glassdoor Free Employer Account that allows employers to respond to reviews, make basic profile updates and flag any reviews that may be inappropriate. Plus with a free employer account, an official company representative can gain valuable insights and analytics to understand what influences their hiring efforts and reputation.
